Tokyo 4/18

The grocery store in the Galleria next to our hotel has the most amazing Pastry/sweets shops that look like art stores. The super market makes Whole Foods look like Aldi. The whole store is immaculately clean and organized. They have the freshest, most amazing looking produce, fish, and meat. I bought sushi for lunch from there as well as some tomatoes and strawberries- Just some normal snacks for my hotel room haha. The sushi probably tops any sushi you'd find in the states. And I'm about to eat this whole container of strawberries.

Just thought you'd all like to know :)
Tokyo is so beautiful I love it here.

Shopping at Shibuya 109!

This was my experience of shopping in Tokyo today. And pictured is the outcome. I finally got the glasses I have always wanted. :)

Tokyo!

I came to Japan with a lot of speculation. I didn't think I was going to enjoy it. But today I ventured out alone to Shibuya, where the 11 story Shibuya 109 mall is located. It was the best shopping experience ever. So interesting.
See video. I tried to be discrete video taping- as I was alone and didn't want to look totally stupid...

Anyways, I love the culture here. I love the people. The Japanese are the most friendly, respectful, professional, courteous, helpful people I have encountered. People are always smiling, asking you if you need help, or how you are doing. They are calm and respectful. There is a great energy in the city. People are not grumpy or walking around sulking or with attitude. Everyone is pretty much very positive.

After the performance about 15 of us went out for dinner at a Shabu Shabu restaurant. It was a great experience. We all sat at a long table that was floor level and you walk in and sit down on mats around the table.
