The Look For Less- Olivia Palermo
Just saw Olivia Palmero's Limelight spread and got extremely upset jealous inspired for some more 70's glam-ness.
I had to combat every "I WANT THAT" with an "I CAN DO THAT".

Instead of spending a buttload on some dresses, get the look above with the below dresses and pieces from Asos.com, and with a faux fur coat / vest and you're good to go.

Pleated skirts and dresses is the top trend this Summer. intsead of a $2,000 skirt (wtf who spends that), you can find a dress or skirt anywhere right now that will achieve the same 70's glam look. And I especially love the powder blue! Add a cropped jacket or fringe vest to add more to the look.

I really love the sleeves on this Halston dress, so I think the key is to achieve the look is to keep the flowy, Seventies look in tact with the sleeves, chiffon, and length.
For a shorter version, maybe choose the below long sleeve pleated dress from Asos.
My favorite is the chiffon jumpsuit below from Asos. It's so summery and seventies I can't get over it.

But obviously can't afford it.
Going to look for highwaisted pants and I'm assuming American Apparel has a bodysuit to go with....

"Summer Glam Disco Trend"
People are starting to catch on!
Here's what's new at French Connection.. pretty much the only store (that I've seen so far) that's offering the 70's disco dress style! Pleated chiffon maxi dresses yummmmyyyy
Also, BCBGeneration's purple maxi is pretty cute too.... hmm..
The prices are a little steep... but seeing as I can't find it anywhere else... eek I might fall to pressure.
Of course the 2nd Shelby's summer dress is SOLD OUT. the one I really wanted.
Crying. I am now on a mission.
***UPDATE*** Oops I found the "swans down color" summer maxi dress on Zappos, there were only 2 left in a size 2. I panicked. I pictured spending the rest of the summer without looking like I'm going to prom in 1974.
Le sigh. I also removed the cost of these dresses from my post, due to shame.

70's Glam
I've been searching for a couple months for this look -
70's summer disco glam. I would essentially want to dress it down for everyday wear... so I would probably have to lose the sequins/shimmer.
People are starting sport this look, but still, it's not available for the "I-can't-spend-more-than-$200-on-a-dress" shopper.
Any suggestions? I really want to go for Rebecca Hall's look, in a silk/satin material....
