NEW YORK 1.20/1.24

I've never been to New York before this! My friends Tara and Frederic have been here a bunch of times, so they knew where they were going, so I followed them around. We went to Soho and went to some cool stores. I purchased the lovely shoes above! Not the red ones.

I went to Times Square on Tuesday night and went out to some bar that we found off Broadway. Times Square was so cool to see finally in person! Was it weird that I was most excited to see MTV? I feel like most of my childhood television watching revolved around that Times Square studio where the guests would always look out the window to all the fans on the street. It really excited me to finally see that whole area. I kept thinking- This city looks like a studio lot, all these buildings and streets look like a movie- yea then I realized that's because they're all based off New York. I am starting to understand why people love it so much. I forget how easy it is to get around when you live in a REAL city, unlike LA which is a bunch of suburbs you're supposed to navigate around as if it is a city. Cabs are cheap and cab drivers actually know where you're talking about when you tell them to take you somewhere. All the restaurants are really cute and I want to eat in all of them. Everything is a lot cooler than LA. LA places are a lot of hype and no substance. Similar to the people there. But I still love LA don't get me wrong.

Being backstage at Radio City is pretty surreal.

I'm trying to upload pictures of NY from my phone but it's not working so I will try later!!!

1.11 Day off in Detroit

Detroit sucks.
Staying at the MGM Grand Casino & Hotel. Its really nice. But a casino in Detroit? Really? Yuck. That's all.
