OMGeeee! It's finally here!
Their self-titled debut album was Pitchfork's favorite album of 2008, and now Seattle harmonizers Fleet Foxes are back with album number two. On May 3 in the U.S., Sub Pop will release Helplessness Blues, the band's new 12-song LP. (Bella Union will release it May 2 in the UK.) Phil Ek, who produced the first album, co-produced and mixed this one. And down below, you can stream and download the album's title track.
This one is a long time coming. Frontman Robin Pecknold talked to Pitchfork about the new album's progress way back in December 2009; Pitchfork's interview is here.
In April, the band will head out on a North American tour, their first since August 2009. After that, they'll tour Europe. Here are the dates below.
